Blue Tears / Blue Tears (1990)

This is a great album! A great mix of old Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Danger Danger. Amazing sing-a-long choruses, huge solos and riffs, a 'fat' 80's production and a singer with a very good voice. The fact is that this album could have easily been the next effort of Bon Jovi after the 'New Jersey'. The saddest thing is that Gregg Fulkerson, the lead singer of the band, has passed away (R.I.P.).

'Blue Tears' was originally released back in 1990, but like so many albums/bands of that era, never had the chance to become a huge success. At least they managed to pull in some airplay on MTV with their first single "Rockin' On The Radio". Strong musicianship and some really huge melodic hard rock tracks make this album the perfect purchase for every fan of that era. For me this band had it all to become big 'Rock Stars' back then, but as I said many times before, the so called 'Grunge' revolution killed hair metal!! It's very difficult to pick a song as my favourite from this album, because you can't find any fillers in it. Only killer melodic hard rock dynamites which are perfectly balanced with the mid-tempos and ballads.

Overall this album is big must have for every crazy hard rocker out there. But also is a MUST have for all the fans of Bon Jovi (New Jersey, Slippery When Wet) and Def Leppard (Adrenalize era). So, for those that you haven't heard or bought the album yet, do a favour to yourself and search for this gem! A classic!!!!!
