Shadow Gallery / Tyranny (1998)

Dream Theater had "Images And Words" , Queensryche the "Operation: Mindcrime" and Shadow Gallery the "Tyranny". All the albums above are perfect samples of how a classic prog. metal album is!
Shadow Gallery is an American progressive metal band formed in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, United States, during the early 1980s, originally under the name 'Sorcerer'. After changing their name to Shadow Gallery (taken from the graphic novel V for Vendetta by Alan Moore) and recording a short 8-track demo, the band was signed to Magna Carta Records in 1991. Shadow Gallery's eponymous debut was released the following year in Japan and Europe.
"Tyranny" is a concept album, released in 1998 and the story that commences on this album is continued in the album Room V. The theme of the disc is one man's struggle over the course of a year to make sense of his place in life. "Tyranny" is also notable for the contributions made by a number of guest musicians such as James LaBrie , D.C. Cooper, and violinist Paul Chou, who made a guest appearance on the tracks "Spoken Words" and "New World Order".
A classic one!
