White Lion--Pride (1987)

The break through album for White Lion, as they had great sales success with this release. Vito Bratta's guitar work is amazing (as ever) with some really amazing and inspired riffs and solos, two big hit-singles here "Wait" and "Tell Me" and a tight production. The opening riff of "Hungry" is one of their meanest, and gives way to a nice drive. One of the band's best tracks ever! In my opinion is very difficult to find a weak moment in 'Pride' as this album is one of the best of that era.

The album closes out with the fantastic-successful single, and a very emotional ballad "When the Children Cry", a great melody, and a tugging chorus. Overall this is a great release and a big must have.
