Giant / Promised Land (2010)

Finally the new Giant record is here. It's always nice to have albums from bands that in the past have offered great and classic records such as " Last Of The Runaways". And its a big risk that this band had to take when they decided to bring back Giant without the original line-up and especially Dann Huff .
But lets face it, that was then and this is now, times are changing. The new album is a very good melodic rock record. About the new members of the band Terry Brock and John Roth I have to say that Terry Brock has a very good and smooth voice which fits perfect with the band and Roth's riffs and solos are very inspired and melodic. Highlights of the new album are the anthemic opener "Believer ", the Aorish mid-tempo "Our Love" ,  "Never Surrender" and "Dying To See You". All in all a very enjoyable and well played melodic rock album but far away from their classic "Last Of The Runaways".
