REVIEW : FANS OF THE DARK, Fans Of The Dark (Frontiers Music s.r.l. Release: 5 November 2021)

FANS OF THE DARK is the brand new project/band from Frontiers Music and with their self-titled debut comes to offer to us a solid sample of pure 80's heavy/hard rock stuff, Cosists of Freddie Allen (drums), vocalist Alex Falk and with a strong rhyhtm section which are the bass player Robert Majd (Captain Black Beard, Metalite, Nighthawk) and Oscar Bromvall (Palace, Code Red) on guitar, Fans Of The Dark are ready to unleash their new opus this November 5th.

As I mentioned above, Fans Of The Dark is delivering a classic opus in a very 80's way; solid hard rock with edgy guitars, up-beat rhythms, powerful vocals with a strong 'metalic' dose in their music that will attract every fan of the classic hard n' heavy scene.

This album contains eight tracks and after my first couple of spins I have to say that I really enjoyed every single moment of it. All the songs are well-written, well-crafted and all of them include clever compositions with strong emphasis on the guitars (which is one of the strongest points of this record) and, of course, to the 'characteristic' voice of Alex Falk.; his voice has 'depth' and a quality to aim things to a higher level.

Highlights out of this album are "Escape From Hell", "Dial Mom For Murder", "Life Kills", the melodic "Rear Window" and "Zombies In My Class".

For sure, one of the most diverse and, at the same time, extremely interesting albums that I've heard so far in 2021. Check them asap!
