REVIEW : PASSION, Passion (Frontiers Music s.r.l., Release: 24 January 2020)

PASSION is a new melodic hard rock band to Frontiers Music roster and with its debut self-titled opus promise to attract every fan of this scene. Behind PASSION there is no other than Night By Night's lead vocalist, Daniel Rossall a/k/a Lion Ravarez.

The sound here is influenced by the mid, late, 80's hard rock scene. Of course the vocals of Rossal brings in mind his days with Night By Night as well.

"Passion is very honored and proud to be a new member of the Frontiers family,” says Rossall "It's a great pleasure to be among friends, influences, and other dedicated artists who all look to deliver the best music possible. We are very excited for the release of the debut album and cannot wait to perform these songs for rock fans all over the world. This is a fantastic musical opportunity for us and I would like to thank Frontiers for providing a platform to deliver our music to the right audience. Let's ROCK!"

The opening tune of "Intensity" is probably one of the new album's highlights. A song that reminded me a lot of hard rock icons TESLA "Intensity" rocks big time. It features a nice and big groove, Rossall's rough vocals and some heavy guitars as the cherry on top. The melodic "Trespass On Love" and the edgy "Lost In The Dark" (sounds like a leftover of NIGHT BY NIGHT's latest opus...) are both killer melodic hard rock stuff. More groove in "Back" while in "Built To Please" the band shows its Aerosmith influences off. Solid stuff!!!

PASSION with their brand new album shows their passion and love for the classic hard rock music in a great way!! If you love bands such as AC/DC, Aerosmith, Tesla and Motley Crue, then you'll be addicted to this release!
