REVIEW : ART NATION / Revolution (2015)

Do you remember the very talented band of Diamond Dawn that in 2013 released a very strong debut album? If yes, then ART NATION is the natural sequence, the front-man of Diamond Dawn Alexander Strandell is the lea vocalist here, and with this debut that is entitled "Revolution" the sure thing is that will please each and every single fan of the Melodic Hard AOR scene!!!

Take the power and freshness of H.E.A.T., a little bit of Diamond Dawn, a strong dose of the late 80's U.S. Hard Rock scene, a big and solid production, some catchy as hell hooks and choruses and there you have an album and a band that will keep us busy with for a long long time!

The album kicks-off with the super-catchy tune of "Need You To Understand". This is a melodic hard rock heaven that delivers a strong guitar riff, attitude and some powerful vocals enough to make you sing-a-long it for days!! "3000 Beats" continues to bring on some excellent melodies with a 'punchier' sound while in "I Want Out" we are dealing with a very 80's hard rockin' anthem that will make you shake and tumble! With "Start A Fire" and "Moving On" we have two killer melodic hard rock tracks grafted with big and in-your-face choruses, monstrous guitar riffs and solos and impressive vocals thanks to Alexander Strandell's voice abilities. The debut features, also, a very likable and very emotional ballad, "Look To The Sky" which is one of my favorite songs out of "Revolution".

A very enjoyable and strong album from start to finish that will put a big smile upon the face of every melodic rock fan out there! For sure, one of the highlights of this year that will end up high in Heavy Paradise's final top list!!! Well done!!
