GEORGE GAKIS / TOO MUCH AIN'T NEVER ENOUGH (2012)

George Gakis is one of the most respectfull rock artist in Greece. With a long-term career, plenty of live performances with some 'legends' of rock such as Whitesnake, Scorpions, Winger e.t.c. and a record career  with George Gakis And The Troublemakers he achieved to build a strong reputation around his name.

Nowadays, Gakis is back with his brand new release which is titled "Too Much Ain't Never Enough". For this release, Gakis collaborates with some of his friends such as Mark Cross, James Kottak, Greg Smith and Joe Lynn Turner among others and he delivers a sentational melodic hard rock album in the vain of Whitesnake, Winger, Scorpions and generally the 80's hard rock scene. The co-production, mixing and mastering is responsibility of the 'mighty' Kip Winger!!

So, with such an impressive list of guests you can't go wrong with this effort! There are plenty of melodies that will remind you the good ol' days of pure hard rock, there are, aslo, some great guitar solos and riffs but, most of all, George Gakis's vocal performances are top notch! Highlights here are the great opener track, "I Married Trouble", which features a huge heavy riffin', the brilliant "Days Of Rock 'N' Roll" , "Street Of Broken Dreams" with Joe Lynn Turner and the traditional Greek song "Mi Me Koitas". The fact is that there isn't a bad or average tune in this record!! Every single track rocks big time and has something special to offer.

Overall, this is an extremely interesting release and highly recommended for every one that loves the 80's hard rock scene!! Well done!!
