DYNAZTY / KNOCK YOU DOWN (2011)

Dynazty was formed in the late 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden. Dynazty consisted of Joey Fox on bass (ex Foxey), George Egg on drums (ex Foxey), John Berg on guitar (ex Sharp) and Rob Love on guitar (Zan Clan). After doing two shows with temporary vocalists Riley Wikked and Swan (Blackrain) the search for a full time singer started. Finally, the search was over and a permanent singer was found. So, with Nils Molin as the band's shouter DYNAZTY started to record their debut album and the result was the very good  “BRING THE THUNDER” . An album that received great reviews from all over the net while it combined the 80's sleaze hard rock sound with a freasher approach.

So, nowadays, the boys are back and ready to knock us down with their fantastic new one "KNOCK YOU DOWN". When Joey Fox said to me, in his recent interview with Heavy Paradise, about the new album: "Knock You Down is a hard rocking album that will do what it promises; KNOCK YOU DOWN!" he was not wrong! Yes, the album is exactly as the main title describes. It's a hard rock dynamite full of big hooks and choruses, passionate performances and fantastic guitar work! The 80's feeling is in all over the album without missing the new elements of hard rock. From the first track which opens the album, "Sleeping With My Enemy", you'll get a hard rockin' punch in-your-face full of attitude and positive energy! This is probably one of the best tracks that this band have ever recorded. "New Sensation" is 80's hair metal bliss with a powerfull chorus line. "The Devil's Playground" is another solid track while the next tune "Hunger For Love" is my personal favorite from the new album. Catchy as hell and a song that you can listen on 10!!! Other highlights are the heavy/groovy tune of "Get It On", "Wild Nights" and "This Is My Life".

Overall, this is a very good album. The fact is that "Knock You Down" is one of the best 2011's releases and an album that from the very first listening grabs you and leaves you hungry for more. An album that combines the U.S. hard rock sound of the 80's, early 90's, full of attitude, tight songwritting and catchy songs. Well done!
