SYMFONIA / IN PARADISUM (2011)

« A new super band was born, a new duet of songwritters was born too » was the message for media a few months ago. With the main association of singer Andre Matos and guitarist Timo Tolkki (plus bassist Jari Kainulainen, keyboard player Mikko Harkin and drummer Uli Kusch), SYMFONIA was born. This lords of Power/Melodic Metal have decided to join their forces to produce an album called simply « In Paradisum ».

« In Paradisum » sounds more like  STRATOVARIUS’s little brother even if some HELLOWEEN influences could be noticed as well. There’re two kinds of songs which compose the opus :

You can hear some Quiet Power Metal songs like "Come By The Hills" or the self-titled track but, also, some really solid Heavy Melodic Metal songs where Andre Matos is singing too high like in the first track "Fields Of Avalon" and "Forevermore" or the more Folk Melodic Metal track titled "Pilgrim Road".
