PUMP / SONIC EXTASY (2009)

This is Pump's third album. "Sonic Extasy" moves in the same level as the band's two earlier recordings. That means, melodic hard rock, and sometimes melodic metal, in the vain of earlier Skid Row and Dokken with attitude!

So, what we have here is a twelve track album full of great heavy rock tracks and, as I said above, attitude!! The boys once again are givin' their best self to offer an enjoyable album with an 80's feeling. And, even if Pump are hailing from Germany, their sound has nothin' to do with bands from their country. For me, it's nothing wrong that I'm hearing a band which is heavenly influenced by my heavy rock heroes like Skid Row and Dokken, or even Tesla! They achieve, also, to put their personal mark in their music. Tracks like "Low life in the fast lane" and "Couldn't care less" are fine examples of a band that knows how to write a good hard rock song.

Bottom line is that Pump is one of these bands that are playin' their music with passion. They love what they are doin' and they are offering, once again, a solid release. For the fans of U.S hard rock sound with balls and attitude this is a must have!
