heavyparadise : Hello Nikki, I would like to welcome you here in Heavy Paradise for this interview!
N.N. :Thnx, I appreciate it.
heavyparadise : Firstly can you give us a short bio of who Nasty Nuns are?
N.N. : Well, the band with the actual line up was formed in late 2009. Like every band we needed some time to find our way, but in february 2010 we already had our first show in front of 300 people. Since then almost everything went very well and we hope it's going on like that, haha.
heavyparadise : How did you guys came up with the name Nasty Nuns? If you ask me, I would say that is a pretty catchy name :-)
N.N.: That happened long time ago and is not a special story. Vic, Mr. Evil and I had some drinks together with our old drummer and I wanted something with an alliteration for our name. Our old drummer came up with 'Nasty' and the first thing I had in mind was 'Nuns'.
heavyparadise : From the samples that I've heard, your music is really cool! You've achieved to combine 80's sleaze hard rock with attitude and big melodies! Can you tell me more about how "Too Much Is Never Enough" sounds?
N.N. : The combination of sleaze, metal and a lot of melody in the way we do it, is something new in our scene and that's how 'Too Much Is Never Enough' sounds like. Sleaze Metal.
heavyparadise : Which are your influences?
N.N. : It's hard to say cause we have the same roots but everybody has his own favourites. There are too much to tell them all here. It goes from Blues over 70's Hard Rock and 80's Hair Metal till Classic and Power Metal.
heavyparadise : A record deal with Demon Dolls Records. How hard was to find a record deal?
N.N. : Haha, not at all, thnx Myspace! We didn't really search for a record label, we just published our EP on all the internet platforms. They found us there, made us an offer and we decided to sign.
heavyparadise : So, "Too Much Is Never Enough" is ready for shiping only through Demon Dolls Records. What about Europe?
N.N. : The European release was alreaady in october 2010 and we produced and released it totally on our own. We're fuckin' happy to say that the first issue is already sold out! So you only can get it through Demon Doll at the moment but the next issue is coming soon.
heavyparadise : I have noticed that you have only five tracks in this release. Do you have more to come in the near future? Why did you decide to release a five-track album?
N.N. : It's all about the money and we don't have any of it. So we decided to make an EP first. But we're already back in the studio to record some new stuff, so there's more to come this year for sure.
heavyparadise : How do you see the sleaze rock scene nowadays? Is there any 'new' band that impressed you most?
N.N.: Well, it's different from country to country. In Sweden and a few others is glam and sleaze a big thing but in almost the rest of the world, Germany included, not at all. But there'sl some potential left for sure. We all like Hardcore Superstar cause they invented a new way to play this music. That's impressive in our century and it definetly rocks.
heavyparadise : Can you name you five Top albums ever?
N.N. : That's a fuckin' hard question. I give you a few of my favourites: Dogs d'Amour – In The Dynamite Jet Saloon, Britny Fox – Bite Down Hard, The Cult – Love, Iron Maiden - No Prayer For The Dying, Lynyrd Skinnyrd – The Last Rebel, W.A.S.P. - Still Not Black Enough, ZZ Top – Eliminator, The rolling Stones – Sticky Fingers, and so on.
heavyparadise : Tell me the first thing that comes in your mind for these words
RELIGION: Rock n' Roll
LOVE: Everybody need somebody to love
SEX: Anytime and everywhere. It keeps us alive, hahaha.
SUCCESS: Fate
MOTLEY CRUE: Löwenbräu
TIGERTAILZ: Pepsi Tate R.I.P.
GIRLS: Trouble
SKID ROW: they rock
CRASHDIET: Dave Lepard R.I.P.
NUSTY NUNS: My life
heavyparadise : Are you going to perform live?
N.N. :We play quite a lot here in Germany and we would love to come to Greece one time.
heavyparadise : Do you want to sent a message to your fans?
N.N. :Watch out for our new stuff, something is coming soon and thnx for your support! Get ready for the Sleaze Revolution!
heavyparadise : I would like to thank you for this interview and to wish you and Nasty Nuns all the best!
N.N. :Thnx, cheerz
