Shadow King was a short-lived arena melodic rock/AOR band that was led by Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm. In 1991, Gramm left from Foreigner and created Shadow King. The band also featured bassist, and longtime Gramm collaborator, Bruce Turgon, guitarist Vivian Campbell (DIO and later in Def Leppard) and drummer Kevin Valentine. They sounded somewhere between Bad English and Foreigner with a heavier approach at moments thanx to the guitar sound of Vivian Cambell. The strong points of the band were Gramm's voice and the guitar work of Cambell. Some very good tracks here, but nothin' breathtakin' that will make this album a classic.
