Pretty Maids / Spooked (1997)

This is a killer album! For me "Spooked" is one of Pretty Maids' best moments. Somewhere between melodic metal and European hard rock, this album has it all. Passionate vocal lines, huge guitar sound and a loud and clear production. This album starts off with the fantastic heavy riff of "Resurrection-Freakshow ", a really heavy tune and an appetite for what comes next! The first huge hit of the album comes though with "Live Until it Hurts", a track with a catchy as hell chorus line, fantastic. "Spooked", is heavy, full of energy and again with a clever chorus. "If It Can't Be Love " is the big ballad of the album, a very emotional song. "Never Too Late " is another one melodic mid-tempo gem. Interesting is the cover track of Kiss's "Hard Luck Woman ". For me this album is one of my favourite albums of Pretty Maids. An album that combines melody with the heavier sound perfectly balanced!!! Buy it now! One of my favourite albums ever.......
