After two albums, celebrated by fans and critics alike, the south-german metal band CONTRACRASH announced their breakup.
It didn’t take long for guitarist and mastermind Matt Carviero to release new material however. On May 31st the first NON-instrumental single of his new project BELLS AND RAVENS will be unleashed.
The track’s title is "Rise" and is sung by the talented vocalist Selin Schönbeck (We Are Legend).
The song itself goes in a more traditional direction than CONTRACRASH was known for. Heavy riffs and lots of melody - Heavy Metal as you know and love.

"Rise" will be part of a 5-track EP expected to be released in early 2020. But there's even more to come, since Matt Carviero is working on another, purely instrumental, BELLS AND RAVENS album.

Nach zwei, von Fans und Kritikern gleichermaßen gefeierten, Alben gab die süddeutsche Metalband CONTRACRASH letzte Woche ihre Auflösung bekannt.
Gitarrist und Mastermind Matt Carviero lässt aber nicht lange auf neues Material warten. Am 31.05. erscheint die erste nicht-instrumentale Single seines neuen Projektes BELLS AND RAVENS und hört auf den Namen "Rise".
Als Gastsänger konnte er den talentierten Selin Schönbeck gewinnen, der sein Können auch schon in anderen Bands (z.B. We are Legend) zur Schau stellen durfte.
Der Song selbst geht in eine traditionellere Richtung als man es von CONTRACRASH gewohnt war. Harte Riffs und viel Melodie - Heavy Metal wie man ihn kennt und liebt.
"Rise" wird Teil einer 5-Track EP sein, die voraussichtlich Anfang 2020 erscheinen wird. Parallel dazu arbeitet Matt Carviero an einem weiteren, rein instrumentalen, BELLS AND RAVENS Album.
