REVIEW : LANDFALL, Elevate (Frontiers Music s.r.l. Release: 9 December 2022)

Brazilian melodic rockers Landfall are ready to unleash their brand new opus entitled "ELEVATE" this December. The new album is going to be released through Frontiers Music

Hailing from Curitiba, Brazil, Landfall features singer Gui Oliver (ex-Auras), guitarist Marcelo Gelbcke, bassist Thiago Forbeci, and drummer Felipe Souzza. Their music is 'moving' somewhere between classic AOR and bands such as Journey and some heavier acts from the mid 80's, early 90's scene.

This record definitely sums up the essence of who we are as a band. Being our second album, we were much more comfortable creating this music, so I think our personalities as musicians are even more apparent this time. As a group, we are currently living such a great moment and I think it has been reflected in our new music," says guitarist Marcelo Gelbcke.

The band's debut opus, "The Turning Point", was a really solid record all the way. Nowadays, LANDFALL are picking up things were they left and continue to deliver strong, emotional and catchy music that the sure thing is that it will please every single fan of the classic AOR/Melodic Hard Rock sound.

Highlights out of "Elevate" are the Journey-esque "Waterfall", the feel-good "Rescue Me", the 'punchier' "Elevate", "H.O.P.E." and "Chance To Destiny".

LANDFALL with their brand "ELEVATE" come to deliver a very entertaining, high-class, ultra melodious and very solid opus that if you are a fan of the classic AOR/Melodic Rock scene you should check out asap!!!
