The band's lead shouter Lars Säfsund (Work Of Art) is considered of one of the best of his kind in today;s AOR/Melodic Rock world. His vocals are unique, passioante and are givin' the extra 'flavour' to LIONVILLE's extraordinary music. Stefano Lionetti, of course, the band's founder/songwritter and lead guitarist, with his insane melodic and inspired guitar lines will make you turn the volume on 10!!!!
The first three songs, "This Time" "Cross My Heart" and "The World Is On Fire", that kick-off "So Close To Heaven" are all highlights. Amazing melodies, superb perfromances, crunchy guitars and choruses that are all made in heaven!!! The first ballad of the album, "Can't Live Without Your Love", is a typical AOR power3 ballad while in the westcoast gem of "We Are One" we are dealing with yet another highlight out of the new record. The punchier "Only The Brave" is just killer and "I'll Be Waiting Tonight" is one of these tracks that with its smooth and so beautiful rhtyhm will make you push the repeat button again and again!! The cover of Richard Marx's classic "Arrow Through My Heart" is very interesting!!
Lionville with their brand new "So Close To Heaven" come to deliver an excellent piece of classic AOR!! It seems that 2022 starts with a couple of killer releases and Lionville's newest opus is one of them!! Killer!!
