REVIEW : TOBY HITCHCOCK, Changes (Frontiers Music s.r.l. Release: 9 July 2021)

Toby Hitchcock is one of the most respectful vocalists around today's melodic rock/AOR scene. His work with PRIDE OF LIONS as well as his solo works are some great samples of his really unique vocals. 

These days Toby is ready to unleash his brand new, third, solo opus entitled "Changes" through Frontiers Music. 

For this record apart from Toby on vocals we also find Martin Jepsen Andersen on guitars, Alessandro Del Vecchio on bass, keyboards, backing vocals and Nicholas Papapicco on drums. 

The first highlight of the new record comes with the melodic rock gem of "Before I Met You". A totally great AOR diamond that features Toby's soulful performances, crunchy guitars and a huge melodic line with a huger chorus line. Excellent stuff! "Changes", "Garden Of Eden", "Say No More" and "Two Hearts On The Run" are all solid and pure melodic rock stuff in a very late 80's way. The fantastic power and very emotional ballad of "Losing You" closes this super delicious album. 

For those who love the classic melodic rock/AOR sound, Toby Hitchcock's brand new "Changes" is a mandatory purchase. A perfect well-balanced opus between ballads and rockers and with this classic Survivor-esque vibe in it "Changes" is a must have!!
