REVIEW : Miss Behaviour / Ghost Play (2016)

"Ghost Play" is album number four for the Melodic Rock band of Miss Behaviour. "Last Woman Standing", 2011, was the band's breakthrough release and with the brand new "Ghost Play" Miss Behaviour is aiming for bigger things.

Late 201,1 the album Last Woman Standing won the Melodic.netBest AoR album of 2011” readers poll, and it got fantastic reviews from magazines such as Classic Rock (UK), Sweden Rock Magazine (SE) and more. UK Magazine Classic Rock picked "Cynthia" as one of the best tracks in 2011, and featured the song on the compilation Classic Rock Buzz.

After the first spin of "Ghost Play" I have the feeling that this is about a great record all the way. It's a bit heavier, more edgy but with a strong emphasis on big melodies, harmonies and the clever hooks and choruses. The first big moment comes with the 'punchy' AOR anthem of "The Magician". A true heavy AOR gem that features a heavy riffing, a catchy hook and a memorable chorus line.

The heavier approach can be heard, also in "Pain And Passion", the next song, while in "Savage Heart" we are dealing with one of the album's top tracks. Powerful but at the same time smoothie with a modern melodic rock direction with a chorus line to die for!!! The commercial "Never Say Never" is another winner and the edgy and classy "Night Moves" is among my favorites here.

This is simply a killer melodic hard rock/AOR record!! The sure thing is that Miss Behaviour with "Ghost Play" will gain more popularity (they deserve that..) and who knows maybe it will be one of the leaders in this scene in the near future. Well done!!
