SINNER / ONE BULLET LEFT (2011)

SINNER are back! Three years after the solid "Crash And Burn", and with a new line-up, the Germans are here stronger than ever to offer to us the bombastic new album which is titled "One Bullet Left".

In the glory 80's, SINNER was one of the bands that held the German hard n' heavy flag high! Albums like "Touch Of Sin" and "Comin' Out Fighting" are still classics. But even though their music were always tight and their legacy strong, they never achieved to become huge rock stars like Scorpions or Helloween. In the mid 90's, SINNER, released the very good "Bottom Line" album and a tour with Mr. Big and Savatage was followed. One of the best album that this band has ever released was "The Nature Of Evil" in 1998. After the "The End Of Sanctuary" the members of Sinner were involved in several projects (Primal Fear, Saxon and Masterplan).

So, nowadays, the boys are back with "One Bullet Left". From the first notes, you realize that this effort is about pure SINNER! It contains all the past elements of the glory 80's and 90's plus served with a modern and more fresh air! Also, the influences from Thin Lizzy are more than obvious in this one!! Tracks like the stormy "The One You Left Behind", the darker "Haunted", the heavy "Suicide Mission" or the 80's "Mind Over Matter" are fine examples of a tight musicianship filled with some really great arrangements. The cover track of Steve Stevens' "Atomic Playboys" is superb!

All in all, this is a very good album from the veterans SINNER. Great songwritting, solid arrangements, passionate performances and a strong production in a really interesting effort. Recommended!
