BAI BANG is a veteran sleaze hard rock act from Sweden. They started in the mid 80's and they toured with many 'big' names such as Thin Lizzy, Ratt, Dio, Motley Crue, Pretty Maids and they played at festivals such as Sweden Rock, Wacken and Rocklahoma. So, after the very good "Are You Ready" two years ago, the band is back and ready to offer to us another solid album full of big harmonies, in-your-face guitar riffs and an 80's feeling!
As I said above, the 80's feeling can be heard all over the album. The songs are all well-crafted and the catchy choruses will make you whisper them for days! Ok, maybe this one will not be a future classic but, for sure, it's a very enjoyable album. From the starter tune of "We're United" you get a strong dose of European sleaze hard rock with loud guitars and big melodies! "Livin' My Dream" starts with a heavy riffing and when it comes to the chorus....it comes the real thing! An extremely catchy chorus line that makes you want to push the repeat button again and again! "Come On" and "Gonna Have it All" are both great melodic hard rockin' tracks while "Tonight" is probably the best track from this new release! A huge melody and a fantastic chorus in the vein of the scandinavian new wave as H.E.A.T or The Poodles make this tune my personal favorite!
Bottom line is that BAI BANG with this album achieves to combine the new sound of Scandinavian sleaze melodic hard rock with the best elements of the past and deliver a great album! Well done!
