This is a very good melodic rock album from two of the best rock artists in the melodic rock scene. But let's take things from the start. In 2008 J. Jamison and J.Peterik's collaboration created the very good “Crossroad Moment” album, which, in my opinion, is one of the best AOR releases of the last decade. So, nowadays the new label of MelodicRockRecords, by Mr. Andrew McNeice, released 'Extra Moments'. This 11 track album contains the songs that didn't make it to the “Crossroads Moment” effort. As you can imagine, in 'Extra Moments' you will hear some quality melodic rock tracks with nice melodies, emotional vocals and some very good songwritting. Ok, I can't say that this release is something huge or a future classic, but I can assure you that this one is far far better than any other new comer who wants to be the new AOR star! 'Dream Higher' which opens the album is an absolute killer and my personal favourite! It has a cool up-tempo rhythm with some very good guitar work and an inspired chorus line. 'Heart Of A Woman' is another one highlight from 'Extra Moments'. It's a slower one but with a huge guitar work and some excellent lyrics. It reminds me a bit of their Survivor days. 'Life #9' is a good up-tempo rocker while ' I Wanna Touch You There' has a feel good vibe and a catchy chorus. All in all this a pretty good release from these two rock legends. For the fans of Survivor this is a must have!
