REVIEW : SAILING TO NOWHERE -- “LOST IN TIME” (2017)

A couple of years back I reviewed a really interesting album that grabbed my attention at once. Sailing To Nowhere's debut release, "To The Unknown", was a damn fine slice of melodic power metal platter full of strong melodic lines, heavy riffs and solos, solid performances and a bunch of some killer songs that left me with a sweet impression.

REVIEW : SINNERS MOON / Atlantis (2015)

Sinners Moon was founded by guitarist & composer LukeN in 2010. After the addition of singer Martina, LukeN started to work on a few songs, in 2011. Again, there were a few line-up changes and in 2012 they started to rehearse new songs along with some older stuff and they made few shows with line up Andrea - vocals, Derick - growl, Jarthuusen - keyboards, LukeN -guitars, Viktor - Bass & Matej -drums.

HOLY SHIRE / Midgard (2014)

Holy Shire is a new bee in the melodic symphonic metal scene. The band was formed in 2009 and since then Holy Shire performed many shows in their home country. They, also, recorded a 6-track EP demo and developed a very unique sound with the addition of a flute and two female singers to the line-up.

STORM WARRIOR / Thunder & Steele (2014)

STORMWARRIOR are worldwide known for their unique style, combining true heavy metal anthems with the concept of Nordic mythology. To be honest, this is my first 'touch' with Storm Warrior. Hailing from Northern Germany and greatly inspired by the 80’s metal scene, especially Helloween and Running Wild, the band was founded by Lars Ramcke in 1998.

CHASTAIN / SURRENDER TO NO ONE (2013)

Legendary CHASTAIN's "Surrender To No One" marks the return of original vocalist Leather Leone. Leather was the vocalist on the classic CHASTAIN albums "Mystery of Illusion, Ruler of the Wasteland, The 7th of Never, The Voice of the Cult, and For Those Who Dare." There is, also, the returning in the band of its original bassist Mike Skimmerhorn. The drums are now being handled by Stian Kristoffersen (Pagan's Mind, Firewind).

MAX PIE / EIGHT PIECES - ONE WORLD (2013)

Max Pie was originally founded in 2005 and started playing classic hard rock stuff in the vain of Deep Purple and Whitesnake. Then, they enriched their sound with a strong progressive dose but, also, some epic pinches as well and, finally, in 2012 their debut album, "Initial Process" was a fact.

WHYZDOM / BLIND? (2012)

WHYZDOM was originally founded by guitarist and orchestretor Vynce Leff in 2007. After recruiting the band members, the band started the recordings for the release of their sebut EP which was titled "Daughter Of The Night" and it received great reviews from the music webzines around the world. It, also, received several awards and plaudits (Best French band of 2008 and best EP).

THY MAJESTIE / ShiHuangDi (2012)

Veteran Power Metalers Thy Majestie are back with their new album "ShiHuangDi". The album, which marks the first Thy Majestie release since 2009's ‘Dawn’, was recorded at Wreck Studios in Palermo, Italy, mixed by Giuseppe Orlando (Novembre) at Outer Sound Studios in Rome, Italy and mastered by Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius) at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland.
