REVIEW : DREAM CHILD --- Until Death Do We Meet Again (Fronties Music s.r.l., 2018)

Frontiers Music Records is a label that continues with the same passion and vision to deliver some excellent albums over the years. One of these records is this one and the sure thing is that will make every metal head very proud!! Dream Child is a kinda of super group 'cause it consists of musicians such as Craig Goldy, Rudy Sarzo, Simon Wright, Diego Valdez and Wayne Findlay. 

REVIEW : Free From Sin --- II (Pride & Joy Music, July 2018)

Free From Sin is a band that made its appearance back in 2015 with its debut album entitled "Free From Sin". The feedback was positive and so this Swedish band decided to record another opus. So, nowadays and after some line-up changes, the band strikes back with album number two with the title "II".

Free From Sin consists of  Per Englund (ex-Blacksmith, vocals), Patrik Lämborg (guitars), Fredrik Strömberg (keyboards), Ulf Kronsell (bass) and Paul Ekdahl (drums) and its musical style is basically melodic hard rock/metal that refers to bands such as Rainbow, Deep Purple, Judas Priest and DIO.

The first highlight of the new album comes with the classic "Faces Of Christ". It's a very Rainbow-esque track (just check the guitar work and the vocals) but that's not a problem at all 'cause it's a really solid song all the way. More classic hard rock/metal stuff comes with "Mr. Blakk", "God Made Me Hate", "Break And Burn" (in which the Priest influences are more than obvious) and the straight forward "Borderline" (which is among my faves here). "Deceiver" is yet another fast-paced and very interesting tune out of the new album.

If you love bands such as Deep Purple, Rainbow, Judas Priest or even DIO, then you have to check out Free From Sin's newest effort. It's a damn solid record that includes all the magic of the above mentioned bands.

REVIEW : Crying Steel --- Stay Steel (Pride & Joy Music, June 2018)

The story of Crying Steel goes long back in 1982 in Bologna. From the ashes of the Hard Rock group WURDALAK, Crying Steel was born and released their debut EP “Crying Steel” in 1985. In the years that followed, the band played with Motörhead and Twisted Sister and the debut LP “On The Prowl” came out in 1987.

REVIEW : Monument --- Hellhound (ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records, May 2018)

The amazing classic metal band of Monument strikes back with its brand new opus entitled "Hellhound". This is the band's already third album and consists of nine pure and old-fashioned metal tracks that the sure thing is that will please each and every fan of the classic British metal sound.

REVIEW : Öblivïon -- Resilience (2018, ROAR ! Rock Of Angles Records)

The "Dream Team" of today's French metal scene is a new band called ÖBLIVÏON. Their debut record "RESILIENCE" is armed and ready to 'hit' the stores on February 23rd through Rock Of Angels Records. The band consists of Jo Amore on vocals (Now Or Never, Temple Of Dio, ex Nightmare), David Amore  on drums (ex Nightmare), Markus Fortunato on bass (Fortunato, ex MZ), Steff Rabilloud on guitars (Urgent, Hey Stoopids, Eye On Maiden, ex Nightmare) and Florian Lagoutte on guitars (ex Despairhate, ex Fenrir, Forsaken World).

REVIEW : Burning Point / The Blaze (2017)

Finnish Melodic Power Metal act of Burning Point strikes back with its brand new opus with the title "The Blaze". Burning Point, for those who are into this scene, is a band that is an active part of this particular sound since the late 90's and through the years build a strong reputation around its name.

REVIEW : HEVIDENCE / Nobody’s Fault (2016)

Hevidence is the 'baby' of the Italian guitarist Diego Reali. Diego is well-known as the guitarist of the Progressive/Power Metal superstars DGM. With Reali, DGM released six full-length records and toured in many countries for over ten years.

REVIEW : DARIO MOLLO'S CROSSBONES / Rock The Cradle (2016)

Dario Mollo started his career with the band Crossbones back in 1981. Since then and after the release of Crossbones debut (in 1989), he collaborated with Tony Martin (The Cage) and the mighty Glenn Hughes ( Voodoo Hill).

UK's Monument releasing an album that will put a wide smile upon the face of every NWOBHM fan out there and, for sure, it is gonna make proud Iron Maiden and Judas Priest!! REVIEW : Blasted To Static / Blasted To Static (2016)

Blasted To Static is a new metal band that comes from the U.S. and consists of some very talented and established musicians such as Jeff Martin (vocals) from RACER X, guitar wizard Stu Marshall (DEATH DEALER, DUNGEON, EMPIRES OF EDEN), bassist Rev Jones (STEELHEART, MICHAEL SCHENKER, LESLIE WEST) and Australian session musician Clay T. on drums.

GLORYFUL / Ocean Blade (2014)

GLORYFUL was formed in summer 2010 by lead singer Johnny La Bomba and Shredmaster JB. The band's 3-track demo "Sedna’s Revenge" quickly gained them a high reputation among the classic heavy metal underground scene and at that time Gloryful played in numerous shows with bands like Powerwolf, Vicious Rumours, Ordan Ogan and Helstar among others and left enthusiastic crowds longing for a full-length debut album.

STORM WARRIOR / Thunder & Steele (2014)

STORMWARRIOR are worldwide known for their unique style, combining true heavy metal anthems with the concept of Nordic mythology. To be honest, this is my first 'touch' with Storm Warrior. Hailing from Northern Germany and greatly inspired by the 80’s metal scene, especially Helloween and Running Wild, the band was founded by Lars Ramcke in 1998.
