REVIEW : Blue Ambition, Seduction Of The Innocent (Perris Records, Release date: 03.28.2025)

Since 2000, Frédéric Slama has released 23 albums (!!!) under the AOR moniker and several other projects with the elite of the Westcoast & Melodic Rock scene! Nowadays, Frédéric is back with a new Melodic Rock project entitled “Blue Ambition”, consisting of a power trio of musicians such as Robbie LaBlanc, Tommy Denander and, of course, Frédéric itself! 

"Seduction Of The Innocent" is an hymn to the melodic rock/AOR/Westcoast scene! Robbie's amazing and unique vocal perormances are top notch and along with the huge talent of both Slama and Denander this album is already a classic in my book! 

Songs such as the great and anthemic opener "Ground For Suspicion", the edgier "Holding On To You" & "Without Warning", the westcoast classic "Seduction of The Innocent" and the melodic rock gem of "Diamond Blue" are all clear winners out of an album that came out of nowhere to rock my melodic rock world for good! Check out, also, the ultra melodic and tasteful "Paradise Hunter" and the amazingly and beautiful tune of "The Color Of The Rain" and you'll discover a true great record. 

All in all, Blue Ambition with its debut, "Seduction Of The Innocent", achieved to release a classic record that will 'speak' right away to the heart and soul of each and every fan of the classic AOR/Westcoast sound. Beautiful melodies, superb harmonies, powerful and emotional performances from such a very talented trio of musicians all in a great opus!
