REVIEW : ISSA, Queen Of Broken Hearts (Frontiers Music s.r.l., Release: 12 March 2021)

The Queen of the melodic rock scene ISSA strikes back in music buisness with her brand new effort entitled "Queen Of Broken Hearts". The new album is going to be released through Frontiers Music this March.

With already five solid albums on her back Issa Oversveen achieved to create a strong reputation among the melodic rock/AOR community. Her smooth and warm voice includes ISSA among the elite of the female singers. All her previous recordings feature strong and edgy melodic rock tracks with beautiful melodies, catchy hooks and, most of all, with Issa's amazing performances. "Queen Of Broken Hearts" ,apart from Issa on lead vocals, finds also a very talented and impressive list of musicians such as Alessandro Del Vecchio, Marco Di Salvia, Simone Mularoni and Andrea Torricini

After the very first spin of "Queen Of Broken Hearts", I have to say that is a great opus all the way. The first couple of tracks, "Angels Calling" and "The Way Out", kick-off this new record impressively; edgy, passionate and powerful melodic rock stuff and, for sur,e a great appetizer of what's coming-up next here. The modern and moodier "The Night It Rained Forever" is simply wonderful while with "Blue" ISSA delivers a very emotional and soulful ballad. "Queen Of Broken Hearts", "Without Love" and "Wait For Love" are all three great rockers for your ear pleasure.

For sure, ISSA's brand new "Queen Of Broken Hearts" is a fantastic and well-crafted melodic rock gem all the way and I would dare to say that it's probably her best to-date. For the melodic rock/edgy AOR fans out there, it is a mandatory purchase!
