Michael Bormann / Conspiracy (2006)

Second solo album, and first after his departure from Jaded Heart, for the very talented Michael Bormann. A very good melodic hard rock album from one of the best voices in the hard n' heavy world nowdays. I have to say that I really love Bormann's works. With Jaded Heart he has released some great hard rock albums, with Charade and Rain, Bormann showed that he can create some really cool stuff without his main band Jaded Heart. Whatever he is involved in the result is from great to very good. In this album he is moving to the same melodic hard rock paths of his earlier Jaded Heart days. Big melodies, some really anthemic and memorable choruses, very good guitar work ( Tommy Denander, Andreas Rippelmeier, Bobby Boebel and Rob Marcello), good production and of course Michael's smooth and strong voice on top form. The album starts with the 'pissed off' (it seems that Michael is pissed off with his ex-band) "Conspiracy " and continues with a perfect balance between the hard rockers and some mid-tempos and ballads! For this album Bormann had a little help from some of his friends as Eric Ragno on keys, Oliver Muller on bass, Per Helge Bruvoll on drums, Tommy Denander & Bobby Boebel on guitars and Anette Blyckert on backing vocals among others.
All in all this is another high-quality melodic hard rock album from an expert of its kind....Michael Bormann!!
