Ratt / Detonator (1990)

One of my favourite albums ever! This CD is simply amazing. I might say that the production in this one is amazing. In "Detonator" the band teamed up with the mighty Desmond Child and the result is a very commercial album, 100% Ratt with a polished, clear and big sound. Maybe the rawness of the earlier releases is a bit gone... but who cares? This is a fantastic release. The songs here are crunchy, very catchy with memorable choruses and some cool guitar work by Mr. DeMartini. Highlights here are the whole album, but "Lovin' You's a Dirty Job "/ "Shame Shame Shame "/ "One Step Away " and "Givin' Yourself Away " are my favourite Ratt tunes ever. Overall, "Detonator" is produced, engineered and arranged in excellent form and it is a great piece of hard rock music! Highly recommended!
