Def Leppard / Pyromania (1983)

Def Leppard is a hard rock band from Sheffield, England, which formed in 1977 and has been identified as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement. After the very good releases of On Through The Night (1980) and High 'n Dry (1981) followed the huge Pyromania album in 1983. An album which was produced by the magic hand of Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The lead single, "Photograph", turned Def Leppard into a household name, as the most requested video clip on MTV and becoming a staple of rock radio (dominating the US Album Rock Charts for six weeks). It also hit #12 on the pop charts.  Pyromania went on to sell six million copies in 1983 (more than 100,000 copies every week in that year) and was held off the top of the US album charts only by Michael Jackson's Thriller.
This and Hysteria album are my favourites of Def Leppard. With this effort the Lepps wrote their name with big names in the rock history, as one of the best albums ever! I think that there are no more words to describe an album like this. A classic one!!!!
