Nightblaze began in 2021 as the brainchild of Italian composer, multi-istrumentalist and producer Dario Grillo (Platens, Violet Sun), with the intent to create a solid, up-to-date sound with deep 80's melodic rock influences. Rising Italian rock star, Damiano Libianchi (Perfect View), was hired on vocals, and the full line-up was completed by the involvement of Dario's brother, Alex Grillo (Platens, Violet Sun, Verdemela) on drums, and Federica Raschellà (Steel Tyrant, Evil Eyes) on bass.

They started it all 39 years ago... 

Tuomo Lassila formed Stratovarius in Helsinki 1984, and is responsible together with the original guitar player Staffan Stråhlman for the band's name Stratovarius. One year later Timo Tolkki joined the band. Stratovarius released their debut album Fright Night (1989) through CBS Finland. From that started one of the biggest success stories in the history of metal. They defined what is currently known as “Power Metal” with albums like Fright Night (1989), Twilight Time (1993), Dreamspace (1994) and Fourth Dimension (1995). 

Timo Tolkki wrote more than 100 songs for the band before leaving the group to embark on a successful solo career back in 2008, and is responsible for writing such Power Metal anthems like “Black Diamond”, “Hunting High and Low”, “Speed of Light”, “Paradise”, “Forever” and “Destiny”. More than 4 million copies of Tolkki-era Stratovarius albums have been sold. 

In the summer 2022 Timo Tolkki, Tuomo Lassila and Antti Ikonen met to discuss ideas to reform the original line up. In all secrecy, they have rehearsed in Tuomo’s garage (real back to the roots!) since January 2023, deciding to call themselves “Timo Tolkki’s Strato”. 

Today we proudly announce the signing of a multi-album deal with Timo Tolkki’s Strato and welcome the band to the ROAR! Rock of Angels roster.

Swedish vocalist Kent Hilli has announced the upcoming release of his second solo album, NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE, on August 4, 2023.

Produced by Jimmy Westerlund (One Desire) with co-production by Hilli and Ulrick Lönnqvist, NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE is yet another melodic rock gem from Hilli, who has established himself as one of the premiere vocalists in the genre. 
 
Hilli’s debut solo album, THE RUMBLE, which was produced and written with Michael Palace, was the culmination of the musical path that the Swedish singer started journeying down since he debuted with Swedish melodic rock upstarts Perfect Plan. Kent’s career in music started later in life than your average musician, at the beginning of '00s after he decided to quit his career as a football player. While he started singing with a cover band in 2001, it was not until 2014--when he started to write his own songs and playing with Perfect Plan--that he started to take a career in music more seriously.
 
In 2017, when Perfect Plan completed their debut album, ALL RISE, the band got a deal with Frontiers Music Srl. Upon the release of their first single, ”In And Out Of Love,” Kent’s astounding vocal abilities were suddenly known to an international audience and no longer a secret. Since that debut single, he has released three studio albums with Perfect Plan (ALL RISE - 2018, TIME FOR A MIRACLE - 2020, BRACE FOR IMPACT - 2022), one covers EP (JUKEBOX HEROES - 2019), and one live album (LIVE AT SHARPENER'S HOUSE - 2021). 

George Gakis releases his new official video for first single “Insane”!

George Gakis announces the release date of his new record and details of the release party! 

The new album is entitled "Parallel Dimensions" and will be released by ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records on May 26, 2023! 

A work in music and lyrics of his own, which includes 12 songs and of which George is very proud! It has been "managed" in the best way by his super-talented little “brother” Bob Saganas who played -among others- all the guitars and bass while the drums have been taken over by the "one and only" Sotiris Gakis with his sensational playing! 

Mixing and mastering was done in America under the guidance and valuable assistance of George’s dear friend C F Kip Winger! 

A release party for the album and the presentation of the first video clip will take place in parallel with the celebration of the 30 years of Troublemakers (George’s band) on Saturday, May 27 in Ioannina, at the Spiritual Center of the Municipality of Ioannina!

**NEWS** Finnish-American modern metal band VIOLET SIN releases their debut single

All it takes is one 80's influenced singer from Florida to make a melancholic Finnish metal band to sound like non-Finnish in a very haunting and beautiful way. The debut single of Violet Sin is definitely modern and metal in terms of production but at the same time the song runs through the past decades of music. There's 00's metalcore, low tuned guitars, retro synths and a big melodic chorus. In addition no click tracks were used in the recordings to get the live feel that is needed in today's metal.

Violet Sin is the brain child of Veli-Matti Kananen (Kalmah) and Jon Pyres (Lycanthro, Threads of Fate). Aiming to create melancholic metal that incorporates various, different musical elements, the duo began writing material during late 2016. Eventually enlisting the talents of Jimi Myohanen (Se, Josta Ei Puhuta / Kaera / Swansong / Sadistik Forest) and Ari Levola (RASA) and thus obtaining a full lineup, the group set out to finally record what would become their first EP during the late months of 2022, to be released in 2023 under Inverse Records.
