Swedish melodic hard rock band of Perfect Plan continues to work hard for the next album, but as a gift to its fans it has released a digital EP which includes covers. This 4-track digital EP contains some timeless tracks from bands such as GIANT, FOREIGNER, SURVIVOR and THE STORM.
Absolutely faithful to the originals, Perfect Plan took these gems, put their own identity and the final result will please each and every single fan of the classic AOR sound. Lead singer, Kent Hilli, states about this EP : "We are so excited to have been given the possibility to do these four cover songs. We had so much fun making this tribute to our idols, who we listened to growing up."
The songs that are included here are the Giant's amazing tune of "Stay" (one of my all time personal favorites..), "That Was Yesterday" from classic rock legends Foreigner, the beautiful ballad of "Show Me The Way" (The Storm) in which Hilli shows off his amazing vocal range and Survivor's "Didn't Know It Was Love".
Perfect Plan released last year a superb slice of pure melodic rock/hard rock bliss that ended up straight on top on Heavy Paradise's Top list. While we are waiting for album number two by these Swedes, "Jukebox Heroes" sounds the perfect appetizer and a treat that can't be missed by any serious melodic rock fan out there. Well done! My one and only complain is that I wanted "Jukebox Heroes" on a physical form......
