This is a killer album! Hard n' heavy sound enough to satisfy both melodic hard rock and also some fans with heavier tastes. This is Almighty's second studio album and the album that put Almighty into the premier league. Ricky Warwick has a strong and rough voice, yet still melodic, and the album is full of energy, power and some really huge moments. It was really sad that this band, with their later efforts, turned to more grunge directions. From the first notes of the album you know what to expect, hard n' heavy dynamites and some impressive mid-tempos and emotional ballads. " Crucify" is the opener track of 'Soul Destruction' and it's a 'balls to the walls' track with so much energy and passion!! "Free 'N Easy" is a commercial track with a nice memorable chorus line while "Devil's Toy" is probably the biggest hit of the album, an amazing song! Other highlights of the album are "Little Lost Sometimes ", "Hell To Pay" and the fantastic mid-tempo "Bandaged Knees".
All in all this is an album that everyone who is into hard n' heavy music must own! A great combination of the big U.S. hair metal sound mixed perfectly with the European heavier sound and the result is this super effort. HeavyParadise's Rating: 9/10
