Grand Illusion are back after six years with this new great album. The fact is that with this band you can't go wrong and from the first spin you know what to except. Great melodies, amazing vocals in the vain of the great Tony Harnell, huge guitar work, a strong and tight production and some really good keyboards.
The songs are perfectly balanced between the mid-tempos/ballads and the heavier ones. Highlights here are...hmmm it's really difficult to pick up a song as my favourite from "Brand New World" 'cause every single track here is absolute perfect! If I had to choose a few tracks from this album, then probably they were for sure the very emotional "Emily", the anthemic "All Out of Love ", the groovier "Burning Bed" with some progressive elements and the huge "Brand New World" with a catchy chorus. All in all this is a highlight for this year and a big must have for the fans of melodic sound. HeavyParadise's Rating: 8,5/10
