FORTY DEUCE was formed in 2003 by the virtuoso guitar player and singer RICHIE KOTZEN (Mr. Big, Poison), TAKA, a Tokyo native on guitar, ARI on bass and THR3E on drums. Their sound is an ass-kickin' hard rock album with some funk elements but with some modern elements as well. The tunes here are catchy, soulful, aggressive but still melodic. Richie Kotzen on vocals is doin' an excellent job and the band seems tight like they are together for a long time. " Oh My God " opens the album with such an amazing way as it rocks hard while "I Still", "Start It Up", "Complicated " are some of the highlights of the album.
Ok this one maybe is not a future masterpiece or something breathtakin' but for sure rocks and it's very enjoyable!
