This is a very interesting release and thanx to Eonian records we have this fine album in our hands. Another one of the so called lost gems of the past, Charlotte's sound is somewhere between Lynch Mob, Great White and Led Zeppelin. The songs were recorded between 1988 and 1992 and they are a fine example of pure U.S. hard rock stuff with a strong dose of a bluesy sound in it! Ok, maybe the influences from Lynch Mob and Great White are obvious but the band achieve to hold their own indentity too. The production is overall very good and it's a shame that this band didn't make it to became a big name back then. Bottom line is that if you are into bands like Great White, Lynch Mob and the huge Led Zeppelin with a bluesy feeling and some really big melodies, then "Medusa Groove" is your album. Highly recomended!!
