Burning Rain / Burning Rain (1999)

This is a welcome return for Doug Aldrich after his Bad Moon Rising days. With Burning Rain, Doug and his band returning to the great hard rock days of BMR's and Lion's first albums with some really amazing guitar work. What can I say about Aldrich's playin? He is simply awesome. Inspired solos and riffs and a tight songwritting make this album a true gem for the fans of old school hard rock. Keith St.John is the lead vocalist and he is doin' an excellent job with his smooth and strong vocals. He reminds me of the great Ray Gillen of Badlands and David Coverdale. The other members of the band are Ian Mayo (Bad Moon Rising) and Alexx Makarovich on drums. As I said their music is pure 80's hard rock with some bluesy elements, big choruses and super guitarplayin' by Mr. Aldrich! This album just kicks ass, every single track is brilliant and after the first spin of the album you want some more!!
So, do a favour to yourself and buy this album. For the fans of well played old school hard rock and for the fans of Badlands, Bad Moon Rising, Lion and Whitesnake. This is a must have.
