Axel Rudi Pell's newest work is titled "The Crest". First of all I have to say that I'm a big fan of Pell's earlier albums. The man is simply amazing when he is playin' the six-string! The fact with this album is that I had high expectations and I'm a bit disappointed. I'm not sayin' that "The Crest" is a bad album, no way, but the truth is that I expected more. By the way, this is a solid release from Pell. His guitar work here is huge for once again, the vocals from Johnny Gioeli are powerfull and there are some really good songs here. On the negative side of the album is that the production is a bit average and most of the songs here are repetitive of Pell's earlier stuff. Overall this is a pretty good album from one of the best guitar players nowdays.
