Pretty Maids / Planet Panic (2002)

I have to say that the Maids have disappointed me. And I think they have disappointed a lot of their fans with this album. Being a long time huge fan of this band, I was a bit confused about "Planet Panic". The melodies and the big choruses of the past are long gone and only a couple of good songs here remind of the Pretty Maids that we all grew up with! The sound of "Planet Panic" is heavy and aggressive with low tuned guitars, a darker sound and  some electronic sound effects as well. The best tracks here are the very emotional and melodic mid-tempo "Natural High", the cover tune of Sammy Hagar's "One Way To Rock", perhaps the most melodic and catchy song on the disc, and the power and aggressive "Who's Gonna Change ".
All in all this is an average album for the standards of the band!
