Jaded Heart / Helluva Time (2005)

This is the first album of Jaded Heart after Michael Bormann's departure.I'm a big fan of Jaded Heart's albums with Bormann so I was a bit confused about what do I except from this release.

First of all the new voice of Johan Fahlberg fits perfect  with the band's sound. His voice is not so AOR/melodic as Bormann's but he gives a heavier tune to the album. The music continues to the melodic hard rock paths as in their previous works. The melodies and the catchy choruses are still here, the guitar work is soild and the band is on top form.

Some great tracks here like the ultra cathy tune of "Who’s Foolin" , the more commercial "Dreams You’ll Never See", the stunning cover song "Paid My Dues" and "Hole In My Heart" are all very good. For sure a solid release from Jaded Heart, without M. Bormann in it.

  1. Don't want to review again (lol) : http://rockmeeting.com/index.php/hard-rock-heavy-metal/cd-reviews/768-jaded-heart-helluva-time

It's in french, and it's written by myself (lol).
What could i say about this album ? Even if Bormann has been fired, Johan is exactly what JADED HEART needs. One of my best albums.
