As with so many melodic power metal bands from Italy, Evershine achieves to release a very good melodic power metal album including some solid tracks with very good arrangements, strong guitar parts and brilliant performances. I bet that with this album Evershine will make the next big step to this scene.
The influences from bands such as Stratovarius and Rhapsody are more than obvious but they can't hide the elements from other scenes like AOR, melodic rock e.t.c. That's why "Renewal" is a very interesting release for each and every fan of hard 'n' heavy sound. They strongly emphasized on big melodies without being boring and the bottom line is that each song has something different to show. Lead vocalist Marco Coppoteli has an impressive voice and take the whole band to a higher level. Highlights here are "A Chance To Be Free", "Evershine", "The Storm" and "Run".
All in all, this is another excellent example of a solid band that is tryin' hard to build a strong reputation around its name. And be sure that with album like this one the future is bright for them. Well done!!
