REVIEW : Voodoo Highway / Pervert County (EP, 2016)

The band that has been acclaimed as “the new Deep Purple” by former Rainbow bassist Craig Gruber is back in business with a brand new EP which is entitled "Pervert County". Voodoo Highway's previous two full-lenght album’s, “Broken Uncle’s Inn“ and “Showdown” were both solid samples of pure and classic hard rock stuff and achieved to gain many positive reviews from both fans and press.

So, nowadays, and after a small break due to life’s issues of some of the band members. VOODOO HIGHWAY are back again with a new line up and a three new songs to shows us that this band is still alive and kickin'.

"NY Dancer" that kicks-off this EP is magical!! Bad-ass bluesy hard rock at its best!! Old-fashioned hard rock stuff with a fabulous heavy riff, a bluesy vibe and powerful vocals with attitude! "Grace Of The Lord" is 'punchier' but always in the same and safe classic heavy rock paths while in "Tears Of A Brand New Sea" the band delivers a cool and rockier tune and of course another gem!!

"Pervert County" is a small taste of Voodoo Highway's talent and of course is a taste of what to expect in the near future!! Excellent!!!

Rating : 10/10

Track Listing :  NY Dancer, Grace Of The Lord, Tears Of A Brand New Sea
