Terry Brock / Diamond Blue (2010)

Damn..this is an awesome release. A fine piece of melodic rock and probably one of the best releases during the last years in this gerne. Once again my congratulations goes to Frontiers for another  quality album. Terry Brock's vocals are over the top and Mike Slamer's guitar work is simply amazing. So, with this winning duo you can do no wrong!
We all know Slamer's guitar skills and Brock's emotional vocals. And the final result of this great combination is this sensational album. Soaring big choruses, great guitar work, huge ballads, tight songwritting and a 'classy' production make this album a fine example of how a great AOR album should sound. Tracks like 'Broken', 'Diamond Blue', 'Jessie's Gone' and 'Too Young' are all huge melodic AOR anthems. 'Soldier Falls' is a huge and very emotional ballad, one of my favourite tracks from this album. The fact is that 'Diamond Blue' is an album without fillers. Only high quality melodic rock tunes played with passion. I really can't say, if this release will be a future classic, the only thing that I can say is that this is a huge album that will certainly top my best albums for this years top10. Well done!!
