House Of Lords / World Upside Down (2006)

Awesome album! Probably the best House Of Lords album of the band's new era and maybe their best effort to date.

After the very good "Demons Down" in 1992, the band decided to take a long break. In 2004, House Of Lords were re-united and released their comeback album "The Power And The Myth", which was overall a nice record but not the album that the fans have been waiting for!! It was 2006, when James Christian and Gregg Giuffria joined their forces and offered "World Upside Down".

The songwriting of this album is tight as a rock, the production is huge and everything here is perfect! Huge melodies, fantastic solos and riffs from the new 'big star'  Jimi Bell and, most of all, the strong voice of James Christian in top form. From the fantastic heavy rock opener "These Are The Times " to the last, more laid back, "World Upside Down " every single track here is an absolute gem, it offers one big melody after another, the inspired and memorable choruses and hooks don't stop till the last note of the album!
All in all this is a masterpiece and for sure a future classic for the melodic hard rock scene. I, also, think that with this album House Of Lords have put the level too high for them and for the rest of the hard rock bands....
