Guild Of Ages/Citadel (2001)

This is an excellent melodic hard rock album! I have every single record that this band has released but this one is maybe their best to date. Guild Of Ages was a very uderrated band. My opinion is that they should have been huge. Great melodies and some really amazing performances by these bounch of very talented musicians. Killing riffs and solos and songs that stuck in your mind from the very first listening. Produced by Bobby Barth (Axe, Jaded Heart, Stan Bush and solo) who has done an excellent job as a producer. Also I have to mention the participation of the mighty Michael Bormann as a co-writer in some of the songs.
All in all this is an excellent release with some really 'big' moments. Highly recommended for the fans of European melodic hard rock sound and especially for the fans of Jaded Heart (M. Bormann era)!!!
