CRADLE OF FILTH / Darkly, Darkly Venus Aversa (2010)

Before starting this review, I have to say that I'm not a Cradle Of Filth fan. But I have to say that in the past I heard some tunes of their previous albums and some of them were pretty good. So, "Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa" is the latest chapter of the band's history and the most anticipated album among the C.O.F. fans! Also, in this new effort we have the return of guitarist James Mcilroy.

The first thing that I liked from "Darkly, Darkly Venus Aversa " is that it's a really fast and heavy album. Even if I prefer some more melodic stuff, I can't say no to a serious heavy and 'ballsy' album!!  And this album is a damn good one. What are you about to hear from "Darkly, Darkly Venus Aversa "?  Furious pounding drums, heavy as 'hell' guitar sound, soaring and sometimes brutal vocal lines by Dani and some keyboards which are givin' the extra something in C.O.F.'s sound!

All in all this is a very good release. It's heavy, it's dark, it's raw and it's melodic! The most important thing is that with this album you won't be bored!
