REVIEW : NESTOR, Teenage Rebel (Napalm Records, Release date : 3/6/2024)

With NESTOR, if you are a fan of the classic 80's melodic hard rock/AOR scene, it's a love situation! I mean, if you love the big sweet choruses, melodic lines to die for, songs to sing-a-long and amazing performances, then you can't go wrong with these guys!

Having already released a huge debut, “Kids in Α Ghost Town”, NESTOR is back in business with album number two entitled "Teenage Rebel". This time the Swedes are back with yet another melodic hard rock/AOR gem that will be apreciated by any melodic rock freak out there. This time the melodies are bigger, the choruses are more memorable and the songs are better by any meaning! The references to bands such as Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Survivor are here but also some pinches from bands such as H.E.A.T. are here as well!!

Songs such as the dynamic and in-your face "We Come Alive", the Def Leppard-ish (fromthe 'Adrenalize' era) "Last To Know", the huge AOR hymn of "Caroline", the 80's straight-forward "Addicted To Your Love" (with it's amazing guitar work...) and the heavier "Unchain My Heart" are some excellent samples of a band that knows exactly what the fans wanted and needed to listen to!!

Ovearall, "Teenage Rebel" is an anthemic melodic hard rock/AOR record that wakes up memories from another inoccent era when bands such as Def Leppard and Bon Jovi ruled the air-waves! A record that contains only killer well-played songs in it without a sight of a filler in a way that at the end of the day you are going to whisper every single moment of it again and again and again!!!!

RATING : 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆  (10 / 10 )
