Yngwie Malmsteen / The Seventh Sign (1994)

1994 and Yngwie Malmsteen is back with a new effort and again with a new singer! This time Mike Vescera (ex-Loudness, Obsession) is the new guy and he is doin' an excellent job. "The Seventh Sign" is an album full of big choruses, tight musicianship, great performances, more ballads (!!!!) and of course some impressive guitar solos and riffs. For me "Never Die" is the big moment here. A fast paced guitar driven anthem which shows some superb vocal performances from Mike Vescera. "I Don't Know" is a commercial track with a nice chorus line. "Hairtrigger" and "Crash and Burn" are both melodic metal killers! From the ballads, " Prisoner of Your Love" is my favourite from this effort. So, what we have here is a melodic hard rock (metal) album with some huge moments! I think that Mike Vescera steals the show here with his amazing vocal performances. Buy it!
