Morning Wood / Morning Wood (1994)

This is the one and only album that Morning Wood have ever released. It's an album which includes some very good acoustic/mid-tempo's, covers but also a couple of new tracks as well. The line-up here is: Tony Harnell (TNT), Al Pitrelli (Savatage, Joe Lynn Turner, Widowmaker), Chuck Bonfante (Drive She Said, Saraya) and Danny Miranda (Blue Oyster Cult). Don't expect here a new TNT album or a guitar driven hard rock album. The music here is a bit softer but the final result will please every melodic rock fan. Harnell's voice is on top form and his performances are all amazing. They are covering from Eagles to Marvin Gaye, and the achieve to perform all the songs very well with professionalism.  'Not Scared Anymore' and 'More Now than Ever' , their two own songs, are both suberb piece of melodic rock music. The fact is that every single thing that Harnell is involved with in, you can't go wrong! From the other tunes of the album, the Supertramp's tune of "Give a Little Bit" is excellent but also Eagles "One of These Nights" and TNT's classic acoustic version of "Tonight I'm Falling/Crazy on You".
Overall this is a very interesting release, more laid-back than any other Harnell's releases, but for sure a great effort.
