I really like Vanden Plas latest album release, "Christ O". So, it's been four years after the very strong "Christ O" effort and finaly this German progressive melodic metal band is back with a new record and a new label. Frontiers is Vanden Plas new 'home' and "The Seraphic Clockwork" is Vanden Plas new album. First of all in this album you can't find some instant and memorable catchy 'hits'. But for sure you will find some really inspired melodies, some very nice progressive touches and heavy but still melodic guitars. Ok, this album maybe isn't one of the 'easiest' albums that you, or me, probably will hear, but for sure " The Seraphic Clockwork" is a very interesting release full of great melodies, fantastic performances from these high-skilled musicians and some huge orchestral arrangements.The final result? I think that Vanden Plas with this album have finaly made it to be one of the 'hottest' names in the progressive metal world. Buy it!
