REVIEW : CRAZY LIXX, THRILL OF THE BITE (Frontiers Music, Release Date : 5/2/2025)

It's been already four years since the band's last opus, "Street Lethal"; long time if you ask me!!! Btw, the wait is finally over 'cause CRAZY LIXX is back in business with their brand new effort entitled "Thrill Of The Bite" through the Italian music label Frontiers Music.

The new record finds the band in top form once again! The songs are, again, excellent and 'smells' late 80's Hollywood era with big, loud and in-your-face choruses enough to sing-a-long for days! The guitars are 'crunchy' enough and the musicianship solid as hell!!

"Highway Hurricane", the opener, is probably one of the highlights here! Fast-paced and 'ballsy' rock 'n' roll in an old-fashioned way when bands such as Warrant, Motley Crue and Ratt ruled the airwaves! Who said rock 'n' roll is dead? I can assure you I was not, because with tracks like "Who Said Rock N' Roll Is Dead", "Little Miss Dangerous" (that sounds like it jumped out from ALICE COOPER's 'Trash' record...) and "Call Of The Wild" the golden era of Melodic Hard Rock/Hair Metal scene is here loud as hell!! "Run Run Wild" and "Midnight Rebels" will blow you away with their huge, anthemic and larger than life hooks while in "Hunt For Danger" we have yet another killer and more straight-forward track that will make you push the repeat button several times! I also loved the final tune, "Stick It Out" with its big groove and monstrous guitar work!

Ladies and gents this is a classic Hair Metal/Melodic Hard Rock opus from Crazy Lixx that when it comes to big hooks, anthemic choruses, 'ballsy' guitars and a classic late 80's vibe they are delivering the real thing!! WHO SAID ROCK N' ROLL IS DEAD??????

RATING : 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 (10 / 10 )
